Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of AmandlaSport Connect ("AmandlaSport", "we", "us", "our"), the professional sport network operated from the Republic of South Africa. By creating an account or otherwise using the platform you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to register independently. Users between 13 and 17 may register only with verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian, who becomes the account's responsible party. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and accept responsibility for all activity on your account.

2. Acceptable use

You may not use AmandlaSport to:

• Post content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful or sexually explicit;
• Misrepresent yourself, an athlete, a club, an organisation or a sponsor;
• Scrape, harvest or re-sell user data;
• Solicit minors for any unlawful purpose;
• Interfere with the platform's security, performance or availability.

3. User content and licence

You retain ownership of the content you post (profile data, media, messages). You grant AmandlaSport a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display and adapt that content solely to operate, promote and improve the platform.

4. Verification, badges and recruiting

Verification is offered to help confirm identities, club memberships and academic records. A verified badge is not an endorsement. Recruiters, clubs and sponsors are independent third parties; AmandlaSport is not a party to any trial, contract, sponsorship or employment arrangement formed via the platform.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Some features (Recruiter Pro, Organisation, Sponsor) require a paid subscription. AmandlaSport is the seller of record for these subscriptions. Payments are securely processed by Paystack, our payment service provider. Card and bank details are collected and stored by Paystack — AmandlaSport never sees or stores your full card number. Invoices are issued by AmandlaSport and emailed to you after each successful payment.

Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Refund eligibility is described in our Refund Policy.

6. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, that compromise the safety of minors, or that we are required to disable by law. You may delete your account at any time; certain anonymised records may be retained for legal and audit purposes.

7. Intellectual property

The AmandlaSport name, logo, software and design system are owned by us and protected by South African and international intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify or reverse engineer any part of the platform without our written permission.

8. Disclaimers

AmandlaSport is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee scouting outcomes, sponsorship results or uninterrupted availability.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AmandlaSport's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the platform is limited to the greater of ZAR 1,000 or the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. The courts of Johannesburg, South Africa have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to your non-waivable rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect.
